R e t h y m n o n   -   S f a k a k i   /   W e s t   C r e t e The Dedalos Beach Hotel   is in  Sfakaki immediately on a wide sandy beach with rounded pebbles, which is carefully being maintained by the hotel staff. The owner and his family returned from Germany to Crete some years ago and since then they run the hotel on their own. It includes 2 single bedrooms, 60 double bedrooms, 8 triple bedrooms and 2 family rooms. The facility also has a restaurant, a swimming pool and a separate paddling-pool, and a snack bar on the beach.   Sfakaki is one of the lesser known villages along the bay of  Rethymnon on the island of  Crete. Many tourists however know the name of the tiny village, as here the Old National Road crosses under the New National Road from Rethymnon to Iraklion providing two highway junctions named "Sfakaki".
